Contracts, Fees, Payment

CONTRACTS

Our contract will usually be in the form of a detailed proposal, including aims, activities, costs, timescales and deliverables. The quality of our service and the value of our support provide the only true basis for the continuity of our business relationships. We always seek, not just to meet our contractual requirements and expectations, but to exceed them.

FEES

Our fees are industry competitive. We provide high quality, tailored, specialized consulting services. As such, we do not offer arbitrary discounts. A reduction in price is only enabled by reducing the level or extent of services to be delivered. That said, we always try to propose solutions which accommodate our clients’ budgets and time lines. We think it is important to agree on a fee structure clearly in advance so that we and our clients can plan reliably for what lies ahead, and how it is to be achieved. When we are engaged in lobbying activities which are covered by the Lobbying Act, we will not under any circumstances accept success fees which are prohibited by Canadian federal law.

Payment

We aim to be as flexible as possible in the way that our services our charged. We offer clients three graduated fee schedules:

  1. Advisory intake meeting (minimum three-hour charge)
  2. Special projects ranging in duration from one to six months
  3. Term retainers for clients requiring significant flexibility to access our professional services, advice and ongoing support in terms of meeting their demands and scope of work issues over a more protracted period

In all instances, we seek to accommodate our clients’ needs. We make no attempt to charge interest on late payments, so we expect payments to be made on schedule. To assist our clients with payment options, we accept the following payment methods: cheques, bank wire transfers and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard).
