DPA celebrates Army Ball 2019

DPA worked with client Steve Tighe of Oshkosh Defense to sponsor a table at the Army Ball on April 13, 2019. Table guests included Caralynn Strom, Major Rob Cummings and Melanie Cummings, Terry and Catherine McLaughlin of Infrasecure, Robyn Orazietti of the Perley Rideau Veteran’s Health Centre, and Mr. Bud Hannon, a D-Day veteran of the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. In Normandy, Mr. Hannan rescued two French schoolgirls caught between German and Canadian troops. Years later a school in Normandy was named in his honour.

BGen (Ret’d) Peter Holt, a Senior Associate at DPA, is always heavily involved in the Army Ball, but this year was particularly special for him with the 75th  Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Engineers. Peter was part of the performance when Engineers at the Army Ball, completely dismantled a WWII era Jeep, installed a new engine and then drove the Jeep off the stage in an astounding 4 minutes and 38 seconds.
